Additional Bostitch RN46-1 3/4-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer Information

No nailer does everything, but the Bostitch RN46-1 coil roofing nailer comes close. Stop at any construction site and watchas the roofers fly through their job with ease. Chances are, they are using the no. 1 roofing nailer in the business--the RN46-1. This little tank is built to last even under extreme job conditions. Bostitch makes sure by dragging it 75-miles across asphalt shingles in its testing labs. Constructed of tough but light magnesium, the RN46-1 weighs only 4.8-pounds and delivers 410-inch-pounds of torque, and it comes with unique features like a single-action side-load canister that is quick and easy to load; a dry-fire lockout so it won't fire when it runs out of nails; carbide inserts wherever it might contact a work surface; skid-resistant pads; a tool-less shingle guide; and an adjustable-depth dial and an over-molded rubber grip.

What Customers Say About Bostitch RN46-1 3/4-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer:

I am out of the roofing business for about 10 years, but if I were to go back in it, I would spend the money on a Bostitch any day. I laid about 5000 square of roof with the older (heavier) Bostitch roofing nailers, and never had a problem with the guns - you just had to remember to add a drop of oil each day in the air inlet and the guns would last years.

However, the ordering process was great. Thanks So I cannot comment on the performance. There isn't much to write. I have received the product to do a roofing job that is scheduled, but not begun.

With the vinyl siding attachment it will perform as a dual nailer. This product is what I expected and I am very happy with the service, delivery, and price that I received.

I have bought the vinyl siding adapter and am going to try it this summer. Have had and used it 6 months now and love it to death. It does through the occasional double but not too often.

I've had these guns for about a year now and never had any problems yet. to avoid any hassles make sure you buy the right roofing nails to match this gun. they could have bought lemons or may have tried to use other types/brands of nails that have the plastic or metal coating connectors that don't jive with this gun and that could have caused the gun to jam and misfire maybe too.

I bought a couple of the Bostitch RN46 roofing guns reconditioned on ebay >:> hehee about a year ago for $150.00 each. the quick ajust depth setting knob on the gun is a great asset to have so you don't have to go up & down the ladder to fiddle with the air compressor psi gauge. I work in interior & exterior home improvement in the Jersey Shore area.

I've seen a couple of bad reviews on this gun. so good luck to all and go nutz. I use them from time to time on small projects like home & garge addition roofs and some small shed re-roofs etc.

these guns are very lightweight and easy to use.
